Yes my name is really Madonna. I’m a Boricua from Brooklyn, NY. And I write things.

I have a Master of Fine Arts degree, which is the most useless degree there ever was. As an undergrad, I spent some time abroad. Those experiences sparked a still insatiable appetite to explore the world and understand what ties us together as humans. This site is a chance for me to do that. And to try different types of writing, utilizing different types of styles. It’s both a portfolio and a place (dare I say…blog) for me to write on a broad range of topics from the deeply personal to the mundane.

I have a few ideas for future content including a website for some television commentary and a podcast as an extension of this site. I also shamelessly plug my professional work. Hire me!

But mainly, this website exists for me. And I do this for myself, to make sense of (and define) the world, even if no one ever reads it.
